  • 712 Main Street Building - Houston, TX

    During my time at Bractlet, I developed an EnergyPlus Building Performance Model and Digital Twin with over 99% accuracy. Using this building performance model, I recommend building energy savings measures and demonstrated the estimated energy savings with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Gateway One Building - Bellevue, WA

  • Police Substation LEED Energy Model and Mechanical Design

    For this project I was tasked with designing the HVAC systems for converting an 11,300 square foot former childcare center into a police substation for MTPD District III in Maryland seeking LEED Silver. I performed all mechanical calculations, specified equipment and created design drawings. Through modeling the building and mechanical system design, I demonstrated that the building had a 24.8% energy cost reduction as compared to the ASHRAE 90.1 baseline. This project was conducted during my time at Parsons.

Kathryne Stockinger, PE, a Mechanical Engineer and owner of KS Energy Consulting, specializes in energy modeling, HVAC system design, and building performance analysis for commercial buildings and multifamily housing. She holds a Master of Engineering Degree in Project Management from University of Maryland - College Park and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas. Our goal at KS Energy Consulting is to help clients lower energy costs, improve indoor air quality, and achieve compliance with programs like Energy Star, LEED, and federal tax incentives.
